You may fill it with a assortment of inexpensive items and there are a large total of choices.ou may effortlessly custommake each chocolate theme gift basket to your recipient.

I’ve put together a few great ideas for making a chocolate lover’s gift basket, finish with instructions on how to make them. You may make inexpensive gift baskets or costly gift baskets depending on your budget.

First make a list of your recipient’s hobbies and interests. List everything you may think of.

Suggestions: sports, books, television shows, in-house hobbies, outdoor recreation, camping, workshop, take delight in working with tools, golf, fishing, computer-related, environs friendly, golf, and tennis.

Also relaxation, food, wine, spa, bath and body, fruit, cookie, crafts, gardening, etc. You may tie in any interests into your chocolate theme. These are just a few ideas.

You may find numerous inexpensive items for use in making your gift baskets or filling your gift baskets, at ‘dollar’ stores, craft stores, party stores, discount outlets, flea markets, close-out stores, etc.

For gift containers you may use: any type of basket, wicker basket, straw basket, bucket, laundry basket, plastic container, toy dump truck or other big toy truck, purse, tin, Christmas tin, seasonal container, big tea pot, big upside-down hat, or plastic storage container-put lid underneath.

Other items might be: extra-large coffee mug, boot, potted plant holder, wire basket, big pasta bowl, huge popcorn bowl, cooking pot, clay pot, tackle box, colander, little wagon, skillet, antiquate trunk, champagne bucket, hamper, Asian-style trunk or picnic basket.

For gift basket liner you may use: tissue paper, shredded paper, shredded newspaper, tea towels, dish towels, hand towels, kitchen towels, colored towels, colored napkins, placemats, diapers, baby blankets or fabric pieces.

For gift basket filler you may use: shredded colored paper, straw, Easter basket grass, crumpled newspaper comics, a bed of wrapped chocolates or other wrapped candy.

For items in the container it’ll depend on the special line of work or theme of the gift basket – in this case Chocolate! With chocolate it’s best not to include any fragrant items, unless they are wrapped in such a way that they don’t give off any fragrance. Here’s a little random sampling to give you a lot of good ideas:

Gift certificate for massage or spa visit, gift certificate to bestloved store, gift certificate for restaurant, loofah, CD of nature sounds, bestloved artisan CD, DVD of newer release movie, how-to video or CD, handwritten poem, watch, framed photo, inspirational book, spa pillows, bath pillows, spa supplies, or a little fluffy towel.

Also flavored teas, green tea, special line of work tea, herbal tea, biscotti, tea infuser, healthful snacks, imagination chocolates, boxed chocolates, chocolate bars, hot chocolate mix, special line of work coffee mix, homemade chocolate chip cookies, homemade brownies, chocolate fudge, and Ghirardelli chocolates.

Or chocolate covered raisins, chocolate covered strawberries, Hershey chocolates, dark chocolates, white chocolates, chocolate bars, chocolate covered cherries, Belgian chocolates, chocolate mints, and chocolate covered pretzels.

How in regards to miniature or giant-size chocolate animals, gourmet chocolate candies, Tootsie Rolls, nuts, homemade chocolate-based cookies, pre-packaged chocolate feed items, brownie mixes, and chocolate chip cookie mixes.

And wooden spoons, your best chocolate chip cookie recipe, your bestloved hand-written chocolate recipes, chocolate dessert recipes, chocolate fudge recipes, hot chocolate or cocoa mixes in imagination packets, coffee mug for cocoa, movie tickets and cinnamon sticks.

You may use as a great deal of chocolate items as you like. You may make your basket with all chocolate items or mix in a few non-chocolate items.

For gift basket wrapping you may use tulle netting or I like to use cellophane wrap. You may buy it in huge rolls. Look for distinguishing trait packaging outlets where you may buy it wholesale.

Tie off the wrapped basket with ribbon. Wired fabric ribbon is best if you have it. For bows: You may use pre-packaged bows but making your own bows is easy and the best if you may do it. Use a huge or big bow.

Assemble all your gift basket items, tools you need, etc. Now line your chosen gift container. Now stuff the chosen filler into the gift basket to give added height to your items. Place, layer and arrange your chosen items on the filler in the gift container. Put the more spectacular items in the back, the littler items in front.

Fill in the holes or prop up with more filler (shredded paper, Easter basket grass, wrapped chocolates, napkins or holiday napkins etc. Also you may use ‘picks’ of artificial flowers to fill in space.

Place your cellophane or other wrap under the gift basket. Center the gift basket on the wrap. Bring the cellophane or other wrap over the top of the gift basket and tie it with ribbon and or a finelooking bow! Use ribbon and bows to match your theme colors. Tuck a card in the ribbon and that’s it!

You may find fabric or wired ribbon cheaply at Costco– in particular in the fall prior to Christmas but often all around the year in some stores. You may shred paper in a paper shredder. If you’re going to need a lot of cellophane you may buy it wholesale through the packaging distinguishing trait stores all around the U.S. but must be without apparent effort found in craft stores.

General tips: Try to use non-perishable items. Use freshly packaged feed items, because even packaged crackers and cookies may go stale in a couple of months. You may find filler flower ‘picks’ at garage sales for pennies. If you buy wholesale they are ordinarily around a dollar each.

Also there’s not one thing like learning how to make gift baskets from a video or DVD for making cheap and easy gift baskets. You may view it over and over again and part with your children, other family members and friends.

You may even charge for classes with your new-found cognition and/or commence a home based business if you so desire. In any event, making a chocolate lover’s gift basket is cheap and easy and will be exhaustively cherished by the chocolate lover recipient.

4Better than the others, but still not quite there
By J. Newman
I feel like I’ve tried every hot cocoa there is in the k-cups. While I do think this is the best hot cocoa so far, it still isn’t great. I’m not sure what it is, but all of the cocoa k-cups seem to have a weird taste to them. It’s almost like there is artificial sweetener in them,, but I know there is not.
I set it on the smallest cup setting for cocoa. This has more body to it than others.
I’m still waiting and hoping that Dunkin’ Donuts will put out their hot cocoa in a k-cup. There really is nothing better than that.
If you want a k-cup hot cocoa, I would def. recommend this over all the others.

3Why can’t anyone make a hot cocoa without sucralose/Splenda in it?
By Raven A. Wind
I HATE SUCRALOSE.

Honestly, I don’t know how other people CAN’T taste it when it’s in sweetened products. It’s got this unpleasant fake flavor that I just can’t ignore. I think any company that uses that junk should be required by law to indicate it on their box and all advertising.

That being said, it seems like this hot cocoa has less sucralose than the Cafe Escapes Hot Cocoa, and as such I have to give it higher marks than the competition.

Still, I can’t believe this product AND its nearest competitor use sucralose but don’t say they’re a diet, lite, low-sugar, or otherwise unnaturally-sweetened product. It’s frustrating. I can taste the stuff, and I really dislike it. I also don’t like the chemical makeup of sucralose, but I won’t go into that here (just believe me: natural sugar is way better for you in the long run).

There’s one other choice out there for a hot cocoa in a K-Cup, and that’s Swiss Miss. Unfortunately, the Swiss Miss K-Cups are ridiculously high priced and hard to find.

My opinion? It’s probably better if you just get your favorite hot cocoa in packets, and use the hot water function of your Keurig. It’s not worth the K-Cup convenience if you have to put up with artificial sweeteners or significantly higher prices. Spending more than seventy-five cents per cup of water-based hot cocoa is about the limit for me.

So, if you’re into sucralose/Splenda, then by all means grab this and enjoy that weird aftertaste and decidedly not-sugar flavor. If you’re like me, though, and can’t stand that artificial stuff, then avoid this product and find another option.

Three stars for tasting decent despite the awful artificial sweetener. Minus two stars for being artificially sweetened and not mentioning it anywhere.

UPDATE: I just found out that the Swiss Miss K-Cups also use sucralose. So really, your only choice is to get packets and use your Keurig as a hot water dispenser. How disappointing.

UPDATE 02/12: After some research, I found that there is one K-Cup hot cocoa that doesn’t have sucralose; However, it is loaded with fructose instead (not the greatest trade-off, since it tastes different from sugar/sucrose, in my opinion) and has no actual sugar/sucrose in it. That one is Green Mountain Coffee Hot Cocoa. Unfortunately, reviews of it say it has a strong coconut flavor (probably because the second ingredient is coconut oil) and is on the salty side, so I have avoided it. It’s also more expensive per-cup, and unless you think a single cup of cocoa is worth over a dollar and twenty-five cents (as opposed to a box of 12 packets being around two dollars) then go ahead and try it. I will refrain at this point and stick to using packets.

I would also like to clarify again that despite what some comments say, the Cafe Escapes Hot Cocoa K-Cups, Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa K-Cups, and Grove Square Hot Cocoa K-Cups ALL use sucralose. Yes, there is sugar in some of those, but it is IN ADDITION TO sucralose/Splenda, and not by itself.

So your choices right now are pure sucralose, sucralose plus a sugar, or pure fructose. None of them is appetizing to me, and all of them make the cost per cup of cocoa quite unpleasant.

43 servings of sugar-sweetened cocoa in a canister will run you around six bucks, and it’s no more complicated than a K-Cup if you know how to operate a spoon.

5Perfect Cocoa
By Book Vamp
Everyone in my family likes hot cocoa. I was running plain water through my k-cup maker and using hot cocoa from a canister but my kids didn’t really get the right measurements and more often than not we would have overflow. So I decided to try this for my kids and it makes a perfect cup every time. No overflow. The taste is good, its creamy with enough cocoa to water ratio for my kids. I will be ordering this product from now on for my family.
In the interest of product comparison, we have ordered Timothy’s white hot chocolate, and Green Mountain Hot cocoa, Timothy’s was great, but pricy, and Green Mountain didn’t really taste all that great to our family. It had a watered down taste to it.
