If you are looking for a one word answer, then it is No! Gluten Free means there is no gluten, which comes from wheat, in the product. Wheat productions are things such as bread, cakes, and biscuits to name a few, unless they specifically state that they are free of it. Some supermarkets and grocery stores carry gluten absent products.

On the other hand, Yeast does not integrate gluten, so a product may comprise yeast and still be gluten free or vice versa. Yeast is a baker’s friend and the humane bodies enemy. Yeast is a fungus/mold and used in fermentation. It is employed in closely all bread productions and in the fermenting procedure for beer. Although, there are recipes out there for bread and other foods that are yeast free, as well as gluten free, and free of a lot of other things to. Yeast is bad for the humane body, so needless to say, removing it from ones diet would aid clean ones body and remove any toxins and or other destructive chemicals derived from yeast “enhanced” products.

So the answer is no, they are not the same thing, gluten and wheat are similar but I wouldn’t say they are the same either. One corresponding that both gluten and yeast share, is the fact that living without them, is much more salubrious for you and your body, and there are a lot of gains of removing them your every day diets. Some of the gains are weight loss, more energy, get into better shape, it helps a great deal of dissimilar medical problems, and assorted day-to-day problems. The gains are too long to list, most of them are health related, but in this health conscious world, how could you go wrong?

5It’s my bible for gluten free cooking!!

When my husband was first diagnosed with Celiac-DH I bought this book to try to make some of the baked goodies we had been so accustomed to eating. The recipes are easy to follow, contain ingredients available at any health food store and taste as close to the “real thing” as can be possible. The selection of recipes cover every taste and lifestyle. She also gives tips for making up gluten free packages of all the little convenience food items we take for granted in the grocery store. A must for anyone cooking for a Celiac.

5You need all three of her books!

I was diagnosed as gluten intolerant about the time that Bette’s first book was published. She guided me through the stages of grief ( how can I exist without wheat breads?) to a state of amazing health. I have eagerly bought and used each of her new books, but since she doesn’t repeat herself, I still use many of the recipes from her original book. You need all three!!

This book is perfect for the person whose medical advocate has told them simply, “Don’t eat wheat.” and, “Most people find this diet so difficult to follow that they don’t succeed — good luck.” She shows hidden glutens in foods I thought were safe, and how to create dishes I enjoy. I learned so much I’ve regained my health.
